NO-GO™ BENCH GRINDER SAFETY GAUGE

Description

The ODIZ Patented, USA Made, No-Go™ Bench Grinder Safety gauge will help keep your company compliant with OSHA Section 1910.215. Our practical design and low cost makes this a must have for every grinder in every shop.

Options:

• Steel Tether – Permanent 18″ steel wire attachment secures to the base of the grinder and ensures that the gauge will not get lost.
• Magnet – Strong neodymium magnet allows flexible mounting options and makes it practical to give each worker their own gauge.

Directions:

The safety gauge should be used prior to starting the bench grinder in order to confirm the correct spacing per OSHA 29CRF1910.215(a)(4).

• Tool Rest Gap Test: One end of the safety gauge is one-eighth of an inch (1/8″) to test the gap of the bench grinder’s bottom tool rest.
• Tongue Guard Gap Test: The other end of the safety gauge is one-fourth of an inch (1/4″) to test the gap of the bench grinder’s top adjustable tongue guard.
  • If the gauge does fit into the gap, the gap is too big, you are a NO-GO and the grinder should be adjusted before use.
  • If the gauge doesn’t slip into the gap, then you are GO!

We highly recommending tethering the needed adjustment tools to the grinder as well.
